Getting the Basics Right
NAD pays attention to the essential details to ensure outstanding performance. The C 368 features low-noise circuits, precise volume control, accurate channel balance, and proper input/output impedance characteristics. An MM phono stage with precise RIAA equalization, high overload margins, low noise, and an innovative circuit to suppress infrasonic noise ensures excellent vinyl playback without affecting bass response. The line inputs are optimized with linear, ultra-low-noise buffer amplifiers that accommodate all types of analog sources without sonic degradation. The C 368 also includes a dedicated headphone amplifier with low output impedance and high voltage capability, capable of driving high-impedance studio headphones. Low-impedance line outputs for subwoofer connections further enhance the amplifier’s versatility.
Forward Thinking with MDC
Modular Design Construction (MDC) allows for customizable upgrades, now or in the future. The C 368’s two MDC slots can house various upgrade modules, including HDMI switching with 4K video capability, additional digital or analog inputs, and the advanced BluOS music management system developed by Bluesound. BluOS connects to your network and is controlled via smartphone, tablet, or desktop, providing access to a variety of high-quality music streaming services and seamless multi-room audio.
Instant Connectivity
The C 368 features Bluetooth® aptX® for wireless streaming from any Bluetooth-enabled device and can even transmit to Bluetooth headphones for private listening. A control app lets you manage all functions of the C 368, and adding the BluOS Module enables Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity for Hi-Res Audio streaming. The BluOS Module also turns the C 368 into a single-zone streamer, compatible with other BluOS Enabled systems and speakers for complete multi-room music integration.
Sophisticated Power
NAD has transitioned from traditional linear power supplies and Class AB output stages to more efficient Class D output stages and switch mode power supplies. These advanced designs, once considered inferior, now rank among the best-performing amplifiers. The C 368 maintains linear performance over a wide bandwidth and provides consistent power delivery to all speaker loads, making a significant improvement over previous models.
The power supply in the C 368 can continuously deliver 80 watts and over 120 watts instantaneously for musical peaks. This supply works with any AC voltage from 100 to 240 volts and provides pure DC power to all stages of the amplifier, ensuring a stable and noise-free performance foundation.
The C 368 features a customized version of the proven Hypex UcD output stage, providing substantial power with nearly imperceptible distortion and noise. Every aspect of the design has been carefully considered and executed to deliver top-tier audio performance, making the C 368 a remarkable addition to any music lover’s system.
