The evolution of amplifiers has transitioned from Class A to Class AB and now to Class D, with each step bringing improvements in efficiency and performance. Class D amplifiers, known for their high efficiency and enhanced signal-to-noise ratio, initially struggled with sound quality due to limitations in digital circuits. To address these issues, HiFi ROSE has introduced the GaN (Gallium Nitride) Class AD amplifier, which overcomes the deficiencies of Class D by using GaN FETs. This innovation significantly improves linearity and sound quality, offering a more refined listening experience.
The HiFi ROSE RA180 amplifier represents the culmination of this advancement. It features four mono amplifiers, each equipped with two specialized AMP modules—one for stable bass and balance, and the other for soft treble and super tweeter frequencies. Each module supports 200W (8 Ohms) and can output up to 400W per channel. The amplifier also includes a BTL Mode that combines the output of two independent modules, delivering a fuller and more balanced sound.
The RA180's design extends to its wide frequency response range, covering 20Hz to 50kHz and extending to 200kHz. This broad range ensures that high-resolution sound sources are faithfully reproduced, contributing to a richer and more realistic audio experience. To support these capabilities, the RA180 incorporates a robust power supply with 4th generation SiC FET technology, a 2.5 KW Power Factor Circuit (PFC), and a large-capacity capacitor. This setup ensures stable performance even under sudden load fluctuations, providing powerful bass and smooth treble.
