The turntable series starts with the CS 418, which integrates high-quality components from the larger models and already places the highest emphasis on precision.
With the Ortofon 2M Red cartridge and switchable MM phono preamplifier, the CS 418 not only offers outstanding value for money, but also a very balanced sound.
Ease of use is guaranteed with the characteristic features of the CS series. The stepless antiskating can be easily adjusted using a rotary knob with a clear scale. The electronic adjustment of the three speeds is conveniently carried out via a rotary switch, while the appropriate pickup can be easily changed using the headshell.
Product Details
The Dual CS 418 Manual Belt-Drive Turntable features a solid MDF plinth finished in a clean black vinyl veneer, giving it a timeless HiFi look while helping to reduce unwanted resonance. Elastomer vibration absorbers integrated into the feet further improve stability during playback, while the removable dust cover keeps the turntable protected when not in use.
Its precision aluminium die-cast platter is engineered for long-term rotational accuracy and consistent speed performance. A heavy rubber mat helps damp unwanted resonance, while the hardened steel spindle and brass bushing assembly contribute to smoother, quieter operation.
The straight, statically balanced tonearm is constructed from solid aluminium and supported by precision ball bearings for accurate tracking. A damped tonearm lift and accurate spring-loaded anti-skating system help ensure smoother handling and better cartridge performance during playback.
Powering the CS 418 is a DC belt-drive motor system with selectable 33 / 45 / 78 RPM speeds, making it compatible with a wide range of vinyl records. Rubber motor mountings help isolate vibrations, while the precision-cut belt contributes to lower wow & flutter for cleaner, more stable sound reproduction.
