"On a whim, I decided to replace my old Radio Shack Digital Coax cable connecting my CD player and my DAC and bought this one just as an "upgrade". Honestly I wasn't even concerned with sound quality, I wasn't even really listening for a difference, I just wanted something new. But the improvement in clarity and detail was so obvious it was shocking. Switching cables back and forth made it clear that this cable is far superior.
Construction is 18 AWG, quad shielded, durable connectors, with a flexible braided cable. Compare these features against the cheaper options on the market and you'll see that this is much higher quality. But what really surprised me was the sound quality. I was always a "cables don't matter" guy and never spent my hard-earned money on expensive cables. I guess I still don't. But I'm extremely glad I paid $15 for this cable instead of $5 for a "Basics" cable. The audible improvement is well worth the money.
