Many high-performance power amplifiers and integrated amplifiers are too bulky and heavy to be supported by traditional stands or racks. This stand is a heavy-duty unit that is designed for the sole purpose of supporting your equipment and acoustically isolating it from external disturbances.
Note: While Solidsteel's hi-fi racks are expandable, the amp stands do not support expansion with additional shelves.

The Solidsteel S3 Series amplifier stand gets your amp off from your floor and puts it where it belongs, on a dedicated table designed to cancel vibration, eliminate worries, and provide critical isolation. Because many power amps and power conditioners are large, heavy, and bulky, they're often just left on the floor. Unfortunately, this is also the worst place for them. There, your amp is subject to a variety of vibrations that compromise performance. Mechanically, leaving an amp on the floor (or worse, carpet!) is a very bad idea. Many sound-degrading, long-wave vibrations are present in even poured concrete floors, negatively impacting resolution and tonal balance. Then there are everyday hazards: spilled buckets, stubbed toes, dust and debris, and insects/small animals. The budget-minded S3 Series amp stands offer excellent isolation and perfectly match the aesthetics of many Solidsteel audio racks. Built around the same rounded-edge 1" thick MDF shelf used in Solidsteel's S3 Series racks, each amp stand comes with heavy-duty feet, spikes, cone cups. S3-A is designed for large-footprint amps and boasts a generous 17" width x 23" long platform. S3-B uses the exact same hardware, but has a smaller shelf that accommodates gear up to 16" wide x 19" deep.
