What stands out:

At its heart lies KEF’s 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array: a 5.25″ magnesium/aluminium woofer with an aluminium-dome tweeter placed coaxially. That coaxial design means sound radiates from a single point source, resulting in excellent imaging, consistent dispersion and a cohesive, “whole-room” soundstage whether you sit front-and-centre or off to the side. 

The built-in 200 W system power (dedicated amplifiers for woofer and tweeter) gives it enough punch to fill a typical living room — more than many compact powered speakers. 

Connectivity is among the most flexible in its class: Bluetooth 5.4 (with aptX Adaptive / aptX Lossless for high-quality wireless streaming), built-in phono stage for direct turntable connection, HDMI ARC for TV, USB-C (Hi-Res up to 24-bit/192 kHz) for desktop or laptop, optical & RCA inputs, plus a dedicated subwoofer output. Makes it both a serious music system and versatile enough for movies, gaming, or desktop audio.

Things to consider / what it's not for:

It doesn’t have built-in Wi-Fi streaming or network streaming features — so for those wanting full “smart-speaker / streaming-platform” integration in one, you’ll still need a source (phone, laptop, turntable, etc.). 

While the bass is quite good for its size, those who crave deep, room-shaking lows (for very large rooms or heavy bass music / home cinema) might still want to pair it with a subwoofer via the dedicated sub out. 

Because it’s a self-powered active speaker pair — you need to plug both units and connect them (via the included interspeaker cable) — so it’s less “wireless Bluetooth speaker” convenient than typical portable speakers.
