The SMSL SA-98E is a high output speakers amplifier built with high quality components from well known electronics manufacturer i.e Panasonic, EPCOS, ALPS, RIFA & ERO. Panasonic capacitors with its characteristics of low leakage current, low internal resistance and high ripple current makes the output sound warm. Meanwhile, ERO film capacitors are known to produce full frequency clarity and unveils a bit more depth and layering to your listening sessions.
Anyhow, buy this amplifier if you're looking to drive a pair of power hungry speakers. And the reason this amp is relatively smaller is because the power adapters doesn't have to exist inside the chassis. SMSL SA-98E will be unbearable loud at even 10 o'clock position & there's no speakers on the market you can buy that the SMSL won't drive. A compact power amplifier, the SMSL SA-98E is ideal for driving bookshelf speakers as part of a desk setup. It’s built with a TDA7498E class-D audio amplifier chip, a strong output short circuit, and thermal overload protection.
Highly efficient, it won’t generate much heat even when operating at high power for extended periods of time. At its recommended uses with minimum distortion, the SA-98E can drive 120W per channel. The black aluminum chassis is complemented by a thick front panel in your choice of colors and a matching large aluminum volume knob.
