Product Details

The M66’s BluOS network streaming platform grants access to over 20 streaming services, including those with lossless and high-resolution audio, supporting playback up to 24-bit/192kHz. It also includes full MQA decoding and rendering, allowing listeners to enjoy studio-quality sound. BluOS supports up to 63 zones, enabling multi-room music streaming with other BluOS-enabled devices, and integrates with smart home systems like Control4 and Crestron. Voice control is also available via Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri.

In addition to its advanced streaming capabilities, the M66 incorporates Dirac Live Room Correction and Dirac Live Bass Control. Using the included calibrated microphone and the Dirac Live app, users can calibrate their space, generating correction filters to compensate for acoustical challenges. This technology delivers precise, textured bass, improved tonal accuracy, and clearer imaging. The M66 is also the first stereo component to feature four balanced and four single-ended subwoofer outputs, allowing for independent calibration of multiple subwoofers to ensure seamless integration with main speakers and uniform bass response.

The digital section of the M66 is powered by ESS Technology’s flagship Sabre DAC and ADC chips, recognized for their dynamic range, ultra-low noise, and superior time-domain performance. NAD’s innovative Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH) circuitry, exclusive to the M66, eliminates digital clipping distortion, enhancing transient response for impactful, realistic sound.

For volume control, the M66 uses an ultra-precise resistor-ladder circuit that reduces thermal distortion, maximizes dynamic range, and ensures accurate left-right balance at all volume levels. Analog signals can be converted to digital for Dirac processing, but an Analog Direct mode bypasses digital processing when desired. Separate power supplies for the analog and digital sections further reduce interference.

With an array of analog and digital inputs, the M66 supports a wide range of sources. Its MM/MC phono stage includes precise RIAA equalization and infrasonic filtering, while an HDMI eARC port facilitates TV audio integration. Digital connectivity options include two coaxial and two optical S/PDIF inputs, one AES/EBU input, RCA line-level inputs, and XLR balanced inputs. For output, the M66 provides both unbalanced and balanced connections, along with a dedicated headphone amplifier capable of driving high-impedance headphones.
