The C 268, like all amplifiers in NAD’s Classic Series, is thoughtfully designed with numerous use cases in mind. Selectable balanced inputs make it an ideal companion for high-end preamps and processors. The amplifier includes trim control for seamless integration with other components or bi-amping setups. A line-out feature allows for the expansion of power for additional speakers or subwoofers. Additionally, a bridge switch transforms the C 268 into a powerful Monobloc amplifier.
Pairing the C 268 with the NAD C 368 Hybrid Digital DAC Amplifier enables a bridged mono setup, delivering 300 watts per channel of distortion-free sound. The auto-sense feature with an adjustable threshold is perfect for automating complex systems or discreetly placing the amplifier in a cabinet. A ground lug is included to eliminate ground loops and noise in multi-component systems.
Getting the Basics Right
The C 268 offers excellent sonic performance thanks to its “music-first” design philosophy. It ensures accurate channel balance, optimal input and output impedance, and low noise circuits. The line inputs, both balanced and single-ended, accommodate various analog source components with linear ultra-low-noise buffer amplifiers to prevent sound degradation caused by improper source loading.

The amplifier can operate with AC mains voltages from 100V to 240V and supplies clean DC power to all stages of the C 268, maintaining near-perfect voltage regulation and providing a noise-free foundation for its amplifying stages.
A customized version of the Hypex UcD output stage ensures powerful output with minimal distortion and inaudible noise. Every detail of the C 268’s design has been meticulously crafted for peak performance, making it a standout component in any high-quality audio system.
