For the Shawline XLR, an additional conductor was incorporated, resulting in three identical conductors to maintain signal integrity across all three connections. This configuration aligns with the design principles found in the Signature and original Sarum Tuned ARAY XLR cables, ensuring a balanced, high-fidelity performance.
Though there is ongoing debate over whether XLR or RCA cables are superior, Chord encourages users to trust their ears if both connection types are available on their equipment. ARAY XLR cables have been known to enhance certain systems, making it worthwhile to try both options for comparison.
